What does TLG Engineering do?
TLG Engineering provides specialist engineering, construction, asset management and strategic labour for Utilities, Energy and Power Generation, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry, Mining and Resources – focused on solving complex technical and construction challenges, particularly in power stations and heavy industries. TLG brings operational/owner-side experience and industry experts to deliver fit-for-purpose, practical solutions.

We work across heavy industry and utilities—especially power generation—along with mining, oil & gas / process environments, and manufacturing where safety, reliability and constructability matter.

What engineering disciplines do you cover?

Core engineering capability spans mechanical (including stress/fluid analysis, rotating equipment, piping and pressure vessels), structural (steel/concrete/modular and dynamic/fatigue), and electrical (hazardous areas, power distribution, control systems and SCADA/PLC integration). With the support of subject matter experts across particular parts of power generation.

Asset Management and reliability engineering are also covered.

Do you have specialist expertise in power station equipment?

Yes – TLG provides subject matter expertise for boilers, turbines, air heaters, fans, baghouse and ESP systems, plus other OEM equipment commonly found in power stations. Expertise is across engineering, management, supervisor, welding and quality control and quality assurance.

Can you help early, before a project scope is defined?

Absolutely – TLG supports feasibility and concept studies, options assessments, cost–benefit analysis and FEED to help you make confident decisions early.

Do you provide design verification and independent reviews?

We undertake design verification and third-party reviews, including constructability, operability and maintainability reviews to de-risk delivery and improve outcomes.

Can you run risk and hazard studies?

We support HAZID, HAZOP and CHAZOP-style studies, along with safety-in-design and regulatory compliance assessments.

How do you ensure solutions are practical for site and maintenance teams?
We actively review constructability, operability and maintainability so the end result works in the field—not just in a model. We also prioritise knowledge sharing so client teams are informed and empowered.

Construction & Site Services

Do you provide construction management and site supervision?
Yes – TLG provides construction management and supervision, site engineering, and technical verification.
Can you support welding, QA/QC, and documentation?
We provide welding coordination and supervision, plus quality management, inspection and documentation to support compliant delivery and handover.
Do you handle lifting studies and critical lift planning?
Yes – TLG supports temporary works, lifting studies, and critical lift planning for high-risk activities.
Can you support shutdowns and turnarounds?
We support shutdown and turnaround planning and execution, including contractor coordination and interface management to reduce risk and downtime. We often find ourselves supporting critical scopes and unplanned/emergent works.

Asset Management & Reliability

Can TLG support asset strategy and reliability programs?
Yes – TLG provides strategic advisory, asset strategy and tactics development, reliability engineering and defect elimination.
Do you offer RCA and failure investigations?
Yes. We conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations to identify what happened, why, and what to change to prevent recurrence. In many cases we involve diverse engineering and construction expertise, which is then supported by practical and effective rectification solutions.
Can you help with condition monitoring and inspection strategies?
We can develop condition monitoring and inspection strategies, along with maintenance planning improvements and lifecycle cost/replacement planning. We are also able to do this across different stages of the asset’s life cycle.
Do you support asset integrity and compliance?
Yes – TLG supports asset integrity and compliance assessments and can assist with master data registers and CMMS alignment.

Strategic Labour Hire

Do you offer strategic labour hire and embedded resources?
Yes – TLG can supply strategic resources including project managers and engineers, drafting/CAD specialists, reliability and maintenance engineers, planners/schedulers, document controllers/admin, construction supervisors/site engineers, welding coordinators/supervisors and quality coordinators. These types of resources can support in various contracting models such as owner or contractor side and specialised capacity.
